Holiday Makeup Essentials

Sometimes it’s hard to decide what to pack in your luggage, especially when it comes to makeup!

Must admit though, I am guilty of over packing makeup products that I end up not using whilst I’m away, especially lipsticks..

But this time I’ve managed to F-I-N-A-L-L-Y organise myself! And show you guys my essential makeup products for vacation.

I don’t know about you, but don’t you ever get a phase where you are just super addicted to a brand?

The five main things I always pack are; foundations & Cheeks, Concealers, eyes (stuff) and lips. I usually pack 2 types of foundation; a BB and a lightweight foundation since I really don’t like to wear a heavy foundation in the heat.

My Favourite combination for holidays!

As I’ve mentioned before my alltime favourite brand has to be Estee Lauder, there is so much variety when it comes to picking shades and colours which can really suite any skin colour. Recently I just discovered the Bronze Goddess range (other than the bronzer) from Estee Lauder and I am so glad I found it!

Bronze Goddess illuminating powder Gelee (01 Heatwave)

The product I’ve fallen in love with is their highlighter, it’s so beautifully presented and has such a beautiful design! I’ve always had a problem with highlighters, where no matter which one I used, they would always look..fake, kinda hard to explain or they would always show my pores which was a big NO-NO for me. When you apply this highlighter you can see immediately that glow! If you’re looking for that blinding instagram/summer glow i do recommend this one. This range is a limited edition and they do tend to sell out quite fast, but the good news is they always re-launch this range every summer!

Lancome Belle De Teint (Shade 06 Belle De Cannelle)

usually, I would change bronzer so you readers can see the newest ones and how they are but really, this is my all time favourite! If you see my other collection of bronzers, the one i usually hit pan is this one, the colour and its blurring effects which helps hide my pores is the reason why this one is on my list for holiday makeup essentials.

Estee Lauder Perfectionist Brightening Serum & Concealer (4N- I usually use the serum in this)

I rarely use this shade unless I go too dark or i want to use it as a colour corrector. The consistency of this concealer is creamy and great for cover ups. The serum however, really helps brighten my eyes and very very lightly conceals under your eyes which is great for those days you want to look awake and natural but nothing heavy at all.

Estee lauder Double Wear Nude Stick Foundation (my holiday shade 4N1)

Double Wear Nude Stick foundoution is perfect for those who want coverage but not the heaviness of other foundations. It’s light and I  just love how they designed this foundation! this one’s in a tube-like presentation which is great to carry around and even has a mini buffing sponge to blend away those blemishes! great for travelling anywhere.

Laura Mercier Secret Concealer Anti-Cernes (Shade 2)

This little tub of concealer really last long, has great coverage and really brightens your under-eyes! the only downfall about this concealer is that it does move around quite a bit which can be annoying especially in the heat, but with a little bit of powder that should make it stay in place.

Estee Lauder Genuine Glow Eyelighting & Estee Lauder Genuine Glow Blushing Creme for Lips and Cheeks

At times when you’re in a rush, and you want to get out of the house but you need that glow before you leave and you seriously have no time, this little stick was the trick! It’s really useful.. It has a liquidy consistency which is great to apply anywhere around the face, (i.e-eyelids,cheeks,high points around the face) again another reason why this is a must to add in your travel essentials.

The Genuine Glow Blushing Creme does the same purpose, but this time for your cheeks and lips. its a creamy texture which gives a sheer luminous finish. I use the peach colour which tends to suite my skin colour whether I’m tanned or normal. again since it’s in a stick format, you can take it with you anywhere.

Lanolips Banana Balm Lip Sheen

In my previous Travel essentials I had mentioned Lanolips. I’ve used vaseline, Nivea and other brands but they never truly helped. This one however really did help hydrate my lips. I usually use this before i go to bed or when I’m on a flight since the air on the plane tends to over-dry my lips.

Clinique Pop- Lip Color And Primer Shade 09

I usually go for reds and bright berry pinks but this time I added a lighter pink to my collection, this lipstick is a miniature from a gift with purchase so it’s cute little size makes it a perfect addition to your travel makeup bag.

What about you? What makeup products do you take with you when travelling? I’d love to know!

Peace! Mishkiins x
